36 Hours in NYC: BOOM, Burna, and a Leica

Shot the BOOM afterparty at The Standard, hosted by Burna Boy.

Central Cee pulled up, energy was insane, and the FX3 worked overtime in low light.

It was chaos from the moment we landed. 36 hours in NYC. No sleep, no schedule, just a Leica Q2, an FX3, and a job to shoot the BOOM afterparty at The Standard, hosted by Burna Boy. It was the kind of night where every lift door opened to someone you recognise from the internet—or a dream.

Central Cee floated in like a ghost. The lighting was minimal. People were moving fast. And yet, there was stillness in certain moments. A drag from a cigarette. A half-laughed joke. I shot it all like a short film, not a recap. Grain, depth, shadow. The FX3 pulled its weight in the crowd. The Leica caught the in-betweens.

When I landed back in London, I had 200GB of footage that felt like memory. Not just content. That’s always the goal.
